Our school readiness program enables children to use their current skills and interests as a basis for learning. Our Kindy Teacher and her fellow educators utilise the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG) and its framework to implement quality teaching and learning practices with a holistic approach.
Intentional teaching extends children’s thinking, builds deep understanding and occurs in emergent and planned experiences. Teachers use a range and balance of strategies to cater for and promote all children’s learning.
We acknowledge that parents/carers are children’s first teachers and value the vital roles families play in children’s lives and their ongoing learning. Family and community partnerships are an important aspect within our service as they provide information which guides our program and practices in relation to cultural awareness and the individual needs of the child.
